Trainings & Influences

My work is deeply shaped by a diverse array of trainings, mentorships, and spiritual influences. My body of work would not be what it is without the profound contributions of those who came before me. I bow in gratitude and respect to the teachers and visionaries whose insights continue to nourish and guide my understandings.

In no specific order of importance ~

I am a graduate of the INNATE Postpartum Care Certification Training, where I honed my understanding of sacred postpartum care. 

My perspective and approach have been most deeply informed by my own depth of relating to my womb, my female ancestral lineage and the Earth. I walk the way of the Rose through the sacred teachings of ancient feminine wisdom…..

My approach draws upon the pioneering work of thought leaders such as Emilee Saldaya of Free Birth Society, Yolande Norris-Clark, and Rachelle Seliga of INNATE Traditions. I also deeply honor the work of Animas Valley Institute and its founder Bill Plotkin.

I am grounded by my ongoing relationship with plant medicines & the Peruvian Mestizo shamanism lineage of Don Julio Gerena (Llerena), with which I have spent years in apprenticeship.

Other formative influences include my studies of ceremony & sacred space, personality theory, high sensitivity (HSP), sacred sexuality and my lifelong self-guided exploration of the human psyche. I also want to name and honor all the women’s circles I’ve led & attended as well as the intentional relationships with my heart sisters Kelly Ann and Krista.

My practice is also shaped by the wisdom of writers and teachers such as Mary Oliver, John O’Donohue, Robin Wall Kimmerer, Brené Brown, Sophie Strand, Christopher Wallis and Reginald Ray also shapes my practice. These combined teachings guide me in my work with the feminine, the Earth, and the sacred rites of passage that reconnect us to our most authentic selves.

Along with my work here, I am a cofounder and guide at Wild Within, where I have been offering nature-based programs, education, and retreats since 2019. 

After years of wandering and traveling, I now live with my husband and co-conspirator Alasdair and our two cats on 12 acres of land in the Calipooya watershed near Eugene, Oregon, surrounded by Oak, Madrone, Cedar, Usnea, Deer, Hawk, and many other beings of the land.
